Translation is a key element in the struggle against transnational organized crime and as such should be a key focus of research. Drawing on established relations with police in England and Belgium, a programme of research has been developed for improvements to translation practices to feed into evidence-based policing, specifically as regards its use in the struggle against Transnational Organised Crime. This is a strong research proposal, which makes a convincing case that its focus is novel, important and will make a valuable evidence-based contribution to the policing of Transnational Organised Crime.
